Verify Halal provides consumers with the tools to make informed decisions when shopping for Halal products or seeking out Halal restaurants. Users can efficiently locate Halal products and premises by scanning items or utilizing the search bar feature. The search bar offers various categories that can be filtered on the right-hand side, enhancing the search experience.

An interesting functionality called 'Found it Here/Sell it Here' has been integrated, allowing consumers or sellers to pinpoint the product's location from the product detail page. By clicking on 'Found it here' or 'Sell it here', users are directed to a screen displaying their current location on a map. By saving the location with a click of the Pin button, users are prompted to enter the store name and confirm the placement.

Recently, during the Halal Certification body’s convention, Serunai established collaborative agreements with 16 Certification Bodies from various countries such as the Philippines, India, Austria, New Zealand, Ireland, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, and Japan under Malaysia’s JAKIM. This endeavor aims to facilitate consumer access to products from these regions through Verify Halal.

The Verify Halal app is an initiative supported by Malaysia’s JAKIM to develop a comprehensive repository of quality Halal products. All items listed on the app originate from certification bodies that are accredited and endorsed by JAKIM. The Halal status and information authenticity are verified according to JAKIM’s Halal Hub Division guidelines. This division maintains an updated live directory of Halal products in Malaysia as well as a list of JAKIM’s certified Foreign Halal Certification Bodies under the 'Halal info' section of the Verify Halal Application.
